Class Teacher: Mr Tim Harnett

I am delighted to be joining the staff at Stockland and returning to Devon, where I began my teaching career. After graduating from Exeter University with a B.Ed (Hons) degree in English and Drama, I have enjoyed a teaching career spanning more than 35 years. During that time, I have worked in a variety of schools and taught every year group from Year 3 to Year 8.

For the past 24 years, I have been teaching in Somerset, including the last nine years in a small village school where I taught the whole of Key Stage 2 in a single class. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

Outside school, I enjoy reading and walking. In years gone by, I played the trombone in theatre pit bands across the South East. I am happily married, with two grown-up children and a beautiful baby granddaughter, and I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the Stockland community.
