Collective Worship

Collective Worship at Stockland C of E Primary Academy is an integral part of daily life.

Our character gateways of Citizenship, Leadership, Expression, Exploration and Flourishing form part of who we are at Stockland

These values are referred to as part of everything we do - including learning about life, the world around us and sorting out problems with our friends.

The whole school comes together in for our Vision and Values worship on Monday mornings. The children love to sing, and we get together to learn new hymns and songs weekly during choral worship on Tuesday. On Wednesday the children enjoy a pupil lead (and class teacher guided) worship with a focus on World Views. On Thursday we have class-based worship where we come together in our classes to discuss and reflect on our vision and values worship from earlier in the week. On Friday we enjoy ‘Praise and Prayer’ celebration worship where we celebrate in and out of school achievements and give thanks for a great week of learning.

In addition to this weekly collective worship plan:

  • Each half term a class will lead collective worship in the
church with members of our community invited to attend.

  • Rev Julie from St Michael and All Angels Church
leads a whole school collective worship fortnightly.

  • Once a month the Open Book team lead worship in school.
