PTFA
There is a very active Parents, Teachers and Friends Association at the school, The prime motivation of the association is to support the school to the benefit of the children.
Much of the PTA activity involves raising funds to help provide things for the school that the overstretched budget cannot meet (and occasionally providing things for children that parents’ overstretched budgets cannot meet – like spare uniform!) The PTA raises around £5,000-£6,000 each year through a series of social events and sales.
PTA meetings happen regularly – advertised in the weekly school newsletter – and are open to all. We are always looking for new ideas so please do join us – and if you can’t make the meetings feel free to get in touch via the school office or find us as ‘Stockland PTA’ on Facebook. We are a friendly group so do come along!
An A.G.M. is held in the Spring term each year when a committee is elected to organise and run a variety of events, some purely fund-raising, others of a more social nature.
For further information please contact the PTA secretary or any other committee member.

Fundraising
The most recent purchases the PTFA has been able to fund for the school are:
Boomwhackers to enrich Music lessons
Contributions to transport for school trips|
Previously the PTFA has funded a number of important projects such as financing the Class 1 canopy and the dining tables, converting and kitting out the library. In addition, many regular activities are supported such as buses for school trips and events, books, theatre productions and sports equipment.
Have a look at our wonderful new library.
Future Projects
Currently the PTFA is considering how to improve outdoor learning at the school – Forest School in particular. All suggestions and ideas are welcomed.
Can you help?
We are always looking for volunteers to donated cakes and to lend a hand at events as well as to pass on out-grown school uniform. Do please get in touch if you can.
